Leger Web seems to have a fair number of admirers of late. Although members say they do not receive a lot of surveys from the site, the ones they do receive invites for aren’t painfully long and carry good compensation as well. So, I decided to give it a try and here is my review.
About Leger Web Research
Leger Web was founded in the year 2004 by Leger Web Research, which is a highly reputed research company from Canada. This panel is among the biggest of its kind in Canada and it even allows panelists from USA to join in.

The site boasts of more than 350,000 members from Canada as well as USA with all of them participating in paid online surveys. The aim of these surveys is to collect consumer views and insights on various products and services.
Leger Web is known to conduct close to 500 surveys on the web each year. The site holds membership of WAPOR (World Association of Public Research), WIN (Worldwide Independent Network of Market Research), and ESOMAR (World Association of Opinion and Marketing Research Professionals).
Although this panel conducts surveys mainly in the US and Canada, at times surveys are also conducted in other nations like China, Brazil, Germany, Italy, India, Korea, Japan, Spain and many more.
As for BBB rating of this site, I couldn’t find any. It seems the company doesn’t maintain a profile on BBB.org.

Participation
The process to start taking surveys with Leger Web is quite straightforward. Fill in the sign-up form, confirm your email and registration by clicking on a link contained in the conformation email sent to you, and receive emails every time a survey is made available.
The survey’s subject is included in the email invitation itself as is information related to the survey duration and associated compensation/reward.
Most of the site’s surveys are quick and can be completed easily. The questions too don’t get extremely probing unlike some of the survey panels I’ve come across.
Usually, every survey completed nets you $1 but overall, your account balance builds up rather quickly.
Most of the site’s surveys are based on general daily life issues. Typically, most surveys can be completed in a 8-10 minute window.
I got around 1-2 email invitations per month. Although this is not much compared to other sites (for example, MySurvey sends survey invites weekly and sometimes even daily) I’ve got to remember that I’m a panelist from the United States while Leger Web Leger Web is of Canadian origin.
I’m unaware as to how many invites Canadian members get but I guess they should be more than those for USA members. (Update: Gauging from the replies posted on certain message boards from Canada it seems members from that country get many more survey invites apart from better pay as well, ranging around $1-$5 per survey!)
The site’s surveys are really enjoyable. Because of their interesting nature, the surveys rarely take upwards of 10 minutes to complete and in most cases it didn’t take me more than 5 minutes per survey.
All surveys I completed till now paid me in the range of $1-$2 (but mostly $1). As for technical issues, I rarely faced any while completing my surveys.
Redeem Your Survey Dollars
Every time you finish a survey, compensation in form of Survey Dollars awaits you. Apart from that, you also stand a chance to win in the draws held every month.
Usually, 2 x $1,000 prizes are given away in these monthly draws in addition to one Apple iPad. You can see the pictures of previous winners on the bottom side of the site’s homepage.
Once your Survey Dollars have breached the $20 mark, you can move a cash out request by logging into your account and hitting the “Cash Out!” tab.
The available payment modes are:
- Check
All members earn Survey Dollars for completing surveys and once your balance of Survey Dollars reaches the $20 mark, you can ask for payment via “check”. Just click the “Cash Out” tab to see this option and withdraw your payment. - Air Miles Reward Miles
Members also have the option of converting their balance into AIR MILES from reward miles if they desire. For every $20 they choose to redeem, members are entitled to 20 AIR MILES, which are transferred to their Air Miles account directly. - Donate Balance to Charity
Additionally, members can also opt to donate dollars from their account balance to charities like Canadian Cancer Society and Sun Youth. Again, once your account balance reaches the $20 mark, you can decide how much to donate to either of these fantastic charity organizations. The site will donate on your behalf while the receiving organization will provide a tax receipt. This receipt is issues on your name and is directly delivered to you.
Note that in case your total account balance makes it possible to make multiple withdrawals of $20, you will have to wait till the previous claim is processed before initiating a new request.
I requested payments on 1-2 occasions without any hiccups and on both occasions, got my money in close to 3 weeks’ time.
Take Surveys by Phone
Leger Web has its very own mobile application that can be downloaded for free from Apple’s App Store as well as Google’s Play. Use the term ‘legerweb’ to search for the respective apps and download and install them on your devices.
The mobile app allows you to complete surveys anywhere and anytime you’d want! The app will also notify you whenever a survey goes online, which allows you to take it straight from the device, thus ruling out the necessity of finding a computer for the same.
Referral
If you wish to invite friends and family to Leger Web, you can do so by logging into your account with the site. Once in, you will find a link titled “Invite a Friend” towards the top menu.
Every time a referral by you registers with the site and completes the first survey, Leger Web credits you with $1.
Is Leger Web Worthy?
Summing it up, I think of Leger Web as a very good site for paid surveys. The only down side of it as I already mentioned in this review is the fact that most of their surveys are geared towards their Canadian panelists.
So, if you are a Canadian and looking to participate in paid surveys, I do fully recommend Leger Web panel.
