BashBound Review: a Legit International Paid Survey Site or a Scam?

Bashbound is one of the very few international survey and reward sites which is why I decided to try it in order to review it here.

I get lots of requests from our readers wanting to know if there are any international survey and reward sites, so I wanted to try this site for myself before recommending it to my readers.

Bashbound is a site that follows the GPT (get paid to) model whereby participants get paid for taking surveys and completing offers. The site claims to act as a meeting point for hundreds of companies from around the world, which require people for completing different offers, and its own members.

Bashbound is open to people from every part of the world with the only pre-condition being a member needs to be “capable of receiving payments legally”.

 

Company Overview

To be honest, I wasn’t able to find much information about the site and who is behind it.

I tried a Who Is search, and found out that the site is privately registered, which is not that unusual. Many website owners register their sites privately.

I guess the best thing this site has going for it is the fact that my research shows that the domain name was registered on February 01, 1995 and it expires on February 02, 2020.

That is a good sign!

Usually, spam sites don’t register their sites for that long, because they don’t plan on being around for long. So, the fact that BashBound has been registered in 95 and its expiration date is all the way in the 2020, is a very good sign.

 

BBB Rating

I also looked at the Better Business Bureau’s site, but they have no profile of the company, which again is not that unusual considering that only a handful of companies register with the BBB (after all, companies have to pay to register with the BBB).

 

How Does Bashbound Work?

Sites like Bashbound and even Swagbucks, are results of the marketing strategies adopted by different companies. Quite a few of these companies are more than eager to pay website like Bashbound simply for bringing in consumers. These companies are more interested in your responses and thoughts as a consumer regarding their product range.

Your participation is compensated by way of points, which you can redeem for cash rewards.

Registering on the Bashbound site doesn’t entail any payment or membership fees. The moment you complete the signing-up process, a $1 bonus is credited to you for doing so.

However, the site requires all new members to complete certain offers before they are allowed access to the rest.

After completing an offer, you are rewarded the US cents that are indicated next to the said offer. Mind you, this happens only after your completion of the offer is verified. From this point on, you are eligible to take the entire range of offers the website provides.

Rewards & Payments

The amount of money you earn is entirely dependent on the offer(s) you’ve completed.

The exact value in US cents is indicated next to each offer and even this is paid to you only after the verification is completed.

For instance, for completing an offer of value 100 cents, you stand to earn an equivalent amount of $1.

Similarly, 300 cents equates to earnings of $3.

There’s a list that features all the offers you’ve completed and the amount of money you’ve earned in the process. You can access this list in the activity stats section of your dashboard.

The payment is made anytime you request a payout; regardless of how much money is there in your account.

Payment methods currently available include Moneybookers, PayPal, e-Gold, and Payza. Any fees charged for the payment by the processor you chose is to be borne by you.

Things to Remember

Although the entire concept of a site paying members for their participating in certain activities with its advertisers is completely legal, there are a few things you need to be careful about.

• 1. Before you venture on a task like clicking ads, ensure that your computer is protected by a security system (like anti-malware software). This is solely for the protection of any sensitive data that your computer might host.

• 2. Another common thread with such sites is that usually most high-paying opportunities are in the form of completing offers from certain companies. Now, this can turn out to be quite dangerous unless you pay adequate attention to the given Terms & Conditions. In case you don’t, it’s likely that you’ll end up spending a lot more than what you earn.

• 3. The same degree of caution is also advisable when being asked to register with random websites. The thing at risk here is your personal contact info, which most of these sites require to be furnished. Bashbound is fairly new to the scene, which means I don’t have enough to back-up the company as far as payments concerned.

However, you certainly can test that aspect by completing a handful of offers before requesting a payment. If the payment comes as promised, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t continue with Bashbound!
